CACI Treatments

Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are a form of scarring. They are caused by tearing of the dermis. Stretch marks are often the result of the rapid stretching of the skin associated with rapid growth (common in puberty) or weight gain (e.g. pregnancy or muscle building). With our CACI treatments we offer a wide range of treatments which can help.

Stretch marks occur in the dermis, the resilient middle layer that helps the skin retain its shape. Stretch marks can appear anywhere on the body, but are most likely to appear in places where larger amounts of fat are stored.

The glucocorticoid hormones responsible for the development of stretch marks affect the epidermis by preventing the fibroblasts from forming collagen and elastin fibers, necessary to keep rapidly growing skin taut. This creates a lack of supportive material, as the skin is stretched and leads to dermal and epidermal tearing.

Stretch marks can be treated using skin abrasion treatment technology. A superficial abrasion of the skin tissue triggers the body’s own natural repair mechanism which stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibres. Consequently skin abrasion technology can have a remarkable softening action on stretch marks. Although unlikely to completely remove the stretch marks a course of skin abrasion treatments should certainly cause stretch marks to significantly fade.

Generally the newer the stretch mark the greater will be the response to skin abrasion treatments.

There are several skin abrasion technologies available that can assist in removing the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin). Treatments Recommended: Chroma Clear; Omnilux; Cold Laser; Body Polish; Indoceane Wrap; Marine Algae

Cellulite

Cellulite is the term used to describe pockets of fat which are trapped and cause dimpling in the skin. This lumpy dimpling is irregular and patchy and is often compared to the appearance of orange peel or cottage cheese.

80% of post-adolescent women go on to develop cellulite at some time during their life although it is very hardly ever seen in men. The thighs, buttocks and the abdomen are the most common areas for a woman to develop cellulite. Although it is often mistaken for obesity, cellulite is not actually obesity related because it can also take place in thin lean women.

Underneath the dermis and epidermis are three specific layers of fat. Cellulite tends to develop in the subcutaneous fat layers. This layer of fat is unique in its structure compared to the other layers because its fatty parts are structured into specific chambers by strands of linked tissue around it. Treatments Recommended: Caci-cellulite; Novacavitation; Pressure Therapy; Body Contour; Frigi Thalgo Body Wrap

Microdermabrasion

As we age, the automatic process of exfoliation and cell renewal slows down. Sometimes the body needs a little help. Microdermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure in which the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin )  is partially or completely removed by light abrasion. The removal of the dead skin cells reveals the softer more youthful looking skin cells underneath. The superficial abrasion of the skin also triggers the body’s own natural repair mechanism which triggers the production of new collagen and releases glycoaminoglycans in order to rehydrate and replenish the recently abraded area. This has a remarkable softening action on surface lines and wrinkles. Microdermabrasion can be used medically for scar removal when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin, but is less effective with sunken scars. Microdermabrasion can also be used to treat sun-damaged skin and to improve acne but must be repeated periodically to be effective.

Different Microdermabrasion methods are used to exfoliate the skin. Traditional crystal based Microdermabrasion uses a treatment hand piece that directs a fine mist of exfoliating crystals onto the skin surface. The used crystals and dead skin cells are then vacuumed back up into the treatment hand piece and deposited into a closed-filter container and discarded. The speed at which the hand piece is moved across the skin surface and the abrasiveness of the type of crystals used will determine the depth of abrasion. Aluminium oxide crystals are irregular in shape and provide an aggressive skin exfoliation. Quartz silica crystals are perfectly round microspheres that are less harsh on the skin and provide a gentle exfoliation, skin polishing and refining action on the skin. Crystal based Microdermabrasion technology is incorporated in the following treatment: Chroma Clear

Skin Hydration

Sun damage, poor diet and an unsatisfactory skin care regimen can lead to dry, flaky, dehydrated skin. Dry skin can lead to premature ageing, the breakdown of collagen and the formation of lines and wrinkles. The skin will take on a dull, greyish and devitalized appearance. As the skin tries to compensate for dryness the sebaceous (oil producing) glands will try to lubricate the skin and in so doing pores may become clogged and black heads and acne pustules may form. In short, good skin hydration is essential in order to maintain a healthy and youthful complexion. Hydration facials use moisture infused products to bathe the skin with intensive hydrating actives. De-hydrated and sun damaged skin is immediately quenched by the hydrating properties of the facial. Its softening action on the skin tissue helps to plump out and smooth lines and wrinkles.

Facial Skin Peeling

As we age, the automatic process of exfoliation and cell renewal slows down. Sometimes the body needs a little help. There are several light abrasion technologies available that can assist in removing the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin).

Facial Toning & Lifting. CACI Facial – Non surgical Face Lift

As we grow older our facial muscles naturally start to lose tone and elasticity. Genetics, lifestyle, weight fluctuation and environmental factors can all influence the rate and degree to which our muscles will lose their tone as we all know first impressions count and a sagging face can make you look tired, miserable and older than your years. Following over 20 years of research and development CACI International can now offer a non surgical solution to combat loss of muscle tone using CACI micro current facial toning therapy.

MicroCurrent therapy was originally developed as a medical application to treat facial palsy and muscle tone was restored by applying tiny micro-current electrical impulses to the affected muscles.

Today this proven technology is now available in thousands of aesthetic clinics as a painless cosmetic treatment and is commonly referred to as “facial toning” or “the non surgical face lift”.

During each 1 hour treatment session all 32 facial muscles are gently manipulated and re-educated by a trained therapist using a series of precise movements. Soft cotton tipped wands are used on the face to transmit the micro-current energy to the facial muscles to restore tone and elasticity. Results are visible after the very first treatment but a course of twelve treatments is generally recommended.

After a course of CACI facial toning treatments facial contours will look lifted and toned.

A monthly top up treatment is recommended to maintain results.

Star Treatment! This Treatment is popular among Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Dale Winton, Cliff Richard, Barbara Windsor, Carol McGiffin and many others

Read more: Micro-current stimulation delivers tiny electrical impulses that mirror the body’s own natural bio electrical field. In most cases, treatment is virtually sub- sensory, with just a slight electrical tingling sensation.
Originally developed for treating facial palsy Micro-current therapy is now also used widely in physiotherapy for pain control and in hospitals for wound healing. As an aesthetic treatment micro-current stimulation has been shown to have a number of other cosmetic benefits:
•   re-educates muscles,
•   increases blood and lymph circulation ,
•   enhances the penetration of the active ingredients of skin care formulations
•   increases the production of collagen and elastin
•   increases protein synthesis, gluconeogenesis and cell membrane transport
•   increases mitochondria activity , adenosine triphosphate  (ATP)

MicroCurrent in aesthetics is commonly described as “facial toning or non surgical face lifting” due to the dramatic lifting effect that micro-current has on facial muscles and facial contours.
True micro-current uses a current with an intensity of  less than one millionth of an amp (< 1mA) and because of it’s low intensity it does not cause a physical or visual contraction of the muscle,
instead, micro-current stimulation works by a process called muscle re-education.
In the 1960’s Drs S. Baker and S.Doyle demonstrated that effective and long term muscle re-education could only be achieved using micro-current if ultra low frequencies (less than 1 Hertz)  were used.
In his book, The Body Electric Dr Robert O. Becker, indicates that to be effective micro-current impulses need to be delivered using a modified waveform that is able to overcome the body’s natural resistance to current ( Ohms law) without causing client discomfort. Combining ultra low frequencies with a modified waveform enables the micro-current to recharge the electrical potential of the muscle by stimulating the spindle cell fibers that run the length of the muscle and attach to the golgi tendon organ in the belly of the muscle. This golgi tendon organ (GTO) simulation technique was developed by Dr George Goodheart in the late 60’s.

During treatment all 32 facial muscles are physically manipulated using soft cotton tipped wands (probes) or other attachments that transmit the micro-current impulses. Working a muscle from belly outward will have a lengthening/relaxing effect that is necessary on muscles that have become contracted over years of facial expression ( eg frown lines ). Working a muscle from the origin and insertion point inward will have a shortening effect that is necessary for the majority of the muscles that have become elongated over time due to age and gravity. Although a remarkable difference is seen after the first treatment, the benefits of micro-current are cumulative and typically a course of 12 treatments will be required for optimum results.

Facial Acne & Blemishes

·         Chroma Clear by Caci

Chroma Clear is a new non invasive Microdermabrasion treatment system designed to treat face and body imperfections such as acne / blemishes, scar tissue, wrinkles and stretch marks.

Chroma Clear combines five treatment technologies within one state of the art system. Utilizing vacuum suction, red and blue LED Light Therapy Photo stimulation and vibratory massage with a new method of skin peeling called Microdermo Percussion the system represents a significant advancement over traditional Microdermabrasion systems.

Microdermo Percussion, is a painless peeling method that produces very little redness or irritation.  Microdermo Percussion uses perfectly round quartz silica microspheres, which instead of scraping the skin like the traditional aluminium oxide crystals (corundum powder) gently exfoliate by producing a rapid tapping action as they are propelled onto the skin. The spherical nature of the quartz silica microspheres means that they are less harsh on the skin than the jagged shape of aluminum oxide crystals and accordingly the spherical shape also eliminates the potential for machine blockages (common with traditional microdermabrasion systems). The quartz silica microspheres are also a much finer and smaller micron grade than aluminium oxide crystals so can be used safely on very delicate areas for a gentle exfoliation.

Blue LED Light Therapy is applied after the skin peeling treatment together with a special soothing gel mask to hydrate , soothe and calm the skin. A combination of Red and Blue LED Light Therapy is particularly effective on acne blemished skin

CACI Body – Cellulite

To treat cellulite it is necessary to stimulate the area in order to reduce the volume of fat that has become stored and to kick start the blood flow and circulation which has become metabolically sluggish.

Faradic electrical stimulation uses specific electrical waveforms to mobilize the connective tissue surrounding the pockets of stored fat. Thisstimulation triggers lypolysis whereby the fat cells naturally start to release the stored fat.

CACI Body – Slim Tone Contour

Faradic technology provides a specific form of electrical stimulation that is designed to firm and tone body muscles.

Electrically conductive pads are placed over specific muscle groups in the target area.  As the current passes through the conductive pads it stimulates the motor points of the muscles triggering an involuntary muscle contraction. Each Faradic treatment session provides a form of passive muscle exercise a bit like having an intense work out but without even breaking a sweat. A typical 20 minute stomach treatment is the equivalent of doing 300 perfect sit ups

Faradic technology will not cause weight loss but by toning and firming the body muscles, there should be a change in body contours and measurable inch loss.
